In Monterey we have this thing we call Fogust (foggy august). Seems it is not only in Monterey but up the coast as well. Not many pics for a couple of days as i was just too foggy most of the time. Here is one of my dog, Liberty at the Pidgeon Point Lightstation.
Too much traffic and parking lot were a a nightmare to try and get photos of the Golden Gate Bridge with liberty. And same for Ft. Point Lighthouse. Also can not tour Pt Bonita and others as I would have to leave Liberty in the truck. And while at 11 1/2 years of age, she does not mind just sleeping, I do need to find a nice shady spot for her and that was not happening either. So next trip.
I did travel to Pt. Reyes and it is a long trip out to where the lighthouse is. But everything was locked in by fog at the lighthouse and so again, because there was no good place to leave Liberty, i only walked around in the parking lot. Most of the lighthouses, i knew this might be a problem but i had hoped to be able to at least get a picture from a distance of them. Not happening. This is a huge area doing out to Pt. Reyes and there is a hike in trail that says there are harbor seals that i would love to do at some point when i do not have Liberty.
Point Area was closed out towards the lighthouse and foggy that morning when i came back. So again, next time.
So enjoy a couple of shots of the shoreline in and around these areas. I was very much calling this coast line, Big Sur North because it reminded of it in so many ways.
