Got back to Monterey, CA today and stopped by Moss Landing. One of my favorite otter watching spots because they are so used to people, you can get close without disturbing them. This Mom and pup were feeding off the culverts at the road into the park. I saw them there before i left a month ago. The pup was definitely feeling frisky. He is now eating some food that Mom is sharing but I say his nurse some as well. There were five other otters close by and the top one is another pup that has been weaned but every now and then, it would call out to what must have been Mom. I could definitely say, she was female from the pink nose. She would go to it and hold it for a little bit but mostly the pup was on it's own.
much more out there today but will share more pics on days that i am not able to get out and get new ones.
